Youth & Emerging Leaders

Developing Identity, Leadership & Direction in Young People

The Youth & Emerging Leaders pillar is designed to support young people as they develop confidence, character, and direction. Through intentional mentorship, leadership development, and real-world exposure, participants are guided to better understand who they are, what they’re capable of, and how to navigate their future with purpose.

This work goes beyond academic preparation. It equips young people with life skills, leadership awareness, and a long-term vision for personal growth, community impact, and legacy.

Who We Serve:

Our programs support youth and young adults across multiple stages of development, including:

  • Youth & Emerging Leaders (Ages 12–17) focused on identity development, confidence, and leadership foundations

  • Young Adults (Ages 18–24) navigating college, career pathways, and personal responsibility

  • First-generation college-bound students seeking guidance and access

  • Youth from underserved communities in need of leadership development and positive exposure

  • Young men seeking structure, mentorship, and direction

  • HBCU and local college students seeking leadership support and community connection

How We Do It:

Through our RISE UP flagship initiative, we provide structured leadership experiences that foster growth, confidence, and clarity.

  • College & Career Exposure - Participants gain firsthand exposure through campus visits, job site tours, and mentorship from professionals, helping them better understand academic and career possibilities beyond their immediate environment.

  • Leadership Development Camps & Speaker Series - Interactive workshops, leadership camps, and speaking engagements designed to strengthen communication, confidence, and leadership presence.

  • First-Generation College Support - Ongoing mentorship and resources that help students successfully transition into college, remain engaged, and persist through graduation.

  • Campus Based Leadership Programs - Cohort-based leadership development delivered directly on college campuses, including HBCUs and local institutions, utilizing peer leadership and mentorship models.

  • Identity & Purpose Discovery - Guided, facilitated group discussions, and self-reflection exercises that support youth in defining who they are beyond circumstances, trauma, or external labels.
