Why are mentors needed?

Mentors are needed to help assist parents and guardians with their youth during the difficult phases of adolescent to becoming a young adult. This phase in a youth’s life is very trying and a mentor is someone that the youth can confide in about any life situation. The mentor can assist the youth in making better choices with social, academic and personal decisions.
